New System Allows Vital Distribution of Curriculum to Remote to Remote Campuses in the U.S. and Latin America
PHOENIX (January 28, 2009) – Antenna Technology Communications Inc., a provider of commercial satellite communications systems, today announced that it has completed its 1 campus system contract to design, integrate and install a complete satellite distance learning system for Thunderbird School of International Business. Thunderbird, a leader in global business education, offers a unique and powerful educational experience that teaches the application of management knowledge across cultures and borders. ATCi provided a state-of-the-art Ku-band uplink motorized earth station that will allow the school to transmit curriculum and programming to different remote campuses in the U.S. as well as Latin America. The system will also be used to provide access of information such as professor interviews to news agencies - MSNBC, CNN, Bloomberg, etc
ATCi handled the scope of the project from turn-key design and integration to installation and testing. ATCi’s uplink included the entire RF equipment package, which featured: motorized antenna, amplifiers, encoders, modems and as well as custom design, integration and implementation dependent upon customer requirements.
